Thank-You For Your Support

Do you remember those Bartles and Jaymes wine cooler commercials from the late 80's? Here's one. Here is another. They were a comedy bit, performed deadpan serious by two old farmers, apparently Mr. Bartles and Mr. James, only one of them never said a word, just stood there next to the other, both facing the camera awkwardly like some American Gothic. I loved those commercials and I can't help hearing their signature closing line, delivered in their somber fashion, "Thank-you for your support," in situations such as this one.

Remember my friend, Dan the Man? Dan the Chocolate Mint Explosion Cookie Man?

Well, his cookie recipe has sailed through the initial round of the Mrs. Fields 30th Anniversary Cookie Contest, and is now battling it out in the second round, the top 30 recipes from the original 628 submitted. That's the top five percent of the class!

Could you take a moment to click here and vote again?

I thank you. Dan thanks you. The whole country will thank you if Dan's cookie ends up gracing Mrs. Fields counters in the near future.

I don't know how long the voting will remain open, so vote now and spread the word to all your other cookie-loving, technologically proficient friends--there are many of us.

Dan certainly thanks you!

Interesting tidbit: when the woman from Mrs. Fields called me, she said to me, "I hear it's a very good cookie." This is someone from the corporate office, so I'm thinking somebody's sampled them already...I'm hoping that's a good sign!
