The Detroit Tigers

Maybe next time.

Mr. Leyland, you are one classy manager. When that reporter after the game tried to get you to comment on where your team had broken down, pitching, hitting, or defense; you refused to place blame, claiming responsibility yourself when you said, "It all starts with the management. I didn't have my team prepared to win." Wow. The game needs more of this kind of professionalism.

Congratulations, St. Louis. I hate to admit it, but you were the better team. And Mr. Eckstein, I am impressed. Big, burly Pujols didn't get the MVP, you did. All five feet seven injured inches of you deserved the honor. Well done.
